(In the 21st century, everyone will be able to see that we are all just inhabitants of a little celestial body called Earth) What went wrong? What went wrong? What went wrong? What went wrong? A new dark age, a new tribe mentality Stuck in a time loop We bring light, you prefer war We bring peace, you prefer violence You are like primitive animals Primitive animals What went wrong? What went wrong? You have doomed yourselves You have no one else to blame What went wrong? What went wrong? I feel so tired…

(Screw all of these world leaders, I am out of here No one controls my body and no one controls my mind Get the fuck out of here!) It’s your fault You made it happen It’s your fault You are to blame You fell for it Believed in their lies You wished for it Hoping others would get hurt Now you’re in the dark, now you’re paying the price And you’ve got no one to blame but yourself You deserve it You deserve the darkness You so deserve it You deserve the darkness You sold your soul Protecting your selfish desires You became a pawn Although you knew you were wrong You got violent Bloodthirsty Mirrored yourself After the wrong people Now you’re paying, and karma is a bitch Now you’re hurting, but not enough for me You deserve it You deserve the darkness You so deserve it You deserve the darkness As for me, I don’t care about you No one else is here It’s a perfect world…

Our Place 04:41
Quartz crystals in my hair Touch of grass beneath my feet A solitary rock in the dark And I walk on top of it No one is afraid any more Of the shadows brought by the moon People vanished from this planet Long ago… Blue sky, black sky We know our place Dots of light here and there Blue sky, black sky We know our place We know our place, we know our place Incoming calls in the dark A galactic network A solitary waltz in antimatter And I take part in it No one is alone any more In the vastness of the heavens We know there are others Just like us… Blue sky, black sky We know our place Dots of light here and there Blue sky, black sky We know our place We know our place, we know our place

Time Loop 02:45
Time stretches for me, it bends for you Secret passageways in the dark I tiptoe on the shores of History As you set fire to its oceans You fear the future Cowardice halts your steps So a familiar past Is your twisted option You’ve grown bored of the peace Desire wars and violence The animal in you reigns supreme And wants to tear it all down I can be anywhere Light is the nectar I crave But I wasn’t made for this You say “f*ck you” to progress Well, I say “f*ck you too” Your existence is overrated Note to self: if you lose hope one day Don’t fret, don’t fret… They’ll tear themselves apart first Then the planet will finally… rest.

Passing sorrows, like a fleeting tomorrow Cries for help lost in the dark Minuscule are our worries When time is ahead of us We are just lucky to live Lucky to live, lucky to live Lucky to be alive Time will ease those puny sorrows Give us hope for a better tomorrow Worthless are our feelings When time is ahead of us We are just lucky to live Lucky to live, lucky to live Lucky to be alive Darkness is nothing When we’re surrounded by stars Trivial are our worries When time is ahead of us Loneliness is nothing When there’s so many of us out there Risible are our problems When space is right in front of us We are just lucky to live Lucky to live, lucky to live Lucky to be alive In this garden

You hide in the dark I seek the light You’re as negative As I’m positive Brutality is your way I prefer delicacy And yet, who knows? Who plays both roles best? I was born in the other side Of the mirror In the other side Of the mirror Embracing everyone Sweet amberish cocoon How ironic it is! Who’s really rebellious? Took me ages to find it out I searched everywhere And yet I did not know The one I searched for was myself! Ended up where I started Isn’t it simply beautiful? I was born in the other side Of the mirror In the other side Of the mirror And from now on If you’re the dark of the shadow I will be the silhouette That makes you exist!

I Wish... 04:36
My mouth has opened a gate From which dark words spill forth My throat is fuelling this hate Blows it into the air This is not what the world needs My angry rantings won’t solve things But this anger is better out than in Before it consumes me I drown in helplessness As I see the world fall I hope a glimmer of light survives It will call forth the future I don’t want to lose hope But you make it so hard I wish I could call forth more Light again I wish I can shine again I wish… I wish… I wish… I wish… (Break the chains that bind you Or bind yourself so as not to harm others)

about

ANTICHTHON is Akiba Jonze's 6th album, as well as the fourth in the Planetarium Saga.
This time around, Akiba Jonze focuses on the Counter-Earth (Antichthon), a hypothetical clone of the Earth permanently hidden behind the Sun so that we could never catch a glimpse of it.
In this counter-utopia, Antichthon is a dark planet, devoid of human beings, and the realm of dreams and nightmares.
Best enjoyed with earphones!
